Wanderverse Privacy Policy

Effective October 27, 2026

Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Wanderverse collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects personal information in connection with the Service. It applies to visitors, listeners, account holders, artists, and booking requesters, subject to any service-specific notices we may provide later.

2. Information we collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including name, username, email address, password credentials or login tokens, artist profile information, uploaded content and metadata, booking inquiry details, support messages, reports, and any information you voluntarily provide. If you use artist-to-artist collaboration features, this includes the collaboration invitations and thread messages you write, any files you attach to them, and any reason you give when blocking another artist. We may also collect information automatically, such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, browser or app information, pages viewed, listening activity, clicks, referral URLs, timestamps, and basic diagnostics. If we use analytics, cookies, or similar technologies, those are described in the Cookie and Tracking Notice.

3. Artist and booking information

If you create or manage an artist page, we may collect artist-facing profile information such as artist name, biography, images, links, social handles, genre, credits, booking contact preferences, and related metadata. If you submit a booking inquiry, we may collect your name, contact details, organization, event details, location, requested date, message, and related communication records.

3a. Information we receive from others

Some information about artists reaches us from someone other than the artist. Media outlets that Wanderverse has authorized may submit links to coverage naming an artist, together with any social handles tagged in that coverage. Where a handle the outlet credits as the subject of the coverage matches an artist on the Service, the link is attached to that artist’s profile and shown publicly without prior notice to them; handles that are merely tagged are recorded against the matching artist but held for review rather than published. Other artists may submit links naming you, which are likewise held for review. Another artist may also credit you as a collaborator on a track they upload, using your social handle together with a name and role they choose; if that handle matches your artist profile, the credit is confirmed and shown on their public track page without prior notice to you. Wanderverse staff may also create an invitation record for a prospective artist that holds their email address, social handle, intended display name, and internal notes before that person has any account with us. An artist can see every link recorded against their profile, whatever its source, from their account.

4. How we use information

We use personal information to operate the Service; create and manage accounts; host and display content; support discovery and listening; deliver booking inquiries; provide customer support; respond to reports; prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; enforce policies; comply with law; improve the Service; and communicate with you about your account, service updates, rights issues, and support matters. We may also use information in aggregated or de-identified form where permitted.

5. How we share information

We may share personal information with service providers that help us operate the Service, such as hosting, authentication, analytics, communications, storage, moderation, and support providers, subject to appropriate contractual restrictions where applicable. We may share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a business transfer, or with your direction or consent. If you create a public artist page, information you choose to publish will be visible to others. Booking inquiries are shared with the relevant artist or artist representative so the inquiry can be reviewed. A booking requester may also copy up to three additional email addresses of their choosing on an inquiry, and Wanderverse does not verify who those addresses belong to. Where we send an inquiry it goes out as a single message with those addresses in the copy line, so the artist and everyone copied can see the address the artist receives bookings at and can see who else was copied. Inquiries we filter as spam, or that exceed our rate limits, are recorded but not emailed to anyone. Separately, media outlets that Wanderverse has authorized are told whether a social handle they submit corresponds to an artist on the Service, including where that artist’s profile is not publicly visible, and an outlet may be emailed the name of an artist whose submitted link has stopped working. If you apply to an organization through its page on Wanderverse, the people that organization has authorized on Wanderverse can read your application, including the contact details and answers you give, so they can review it.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, and service performance. If we later use targeted advertising or more advanced tracking, we may provide additional notices, choices, or consent tools as required by law.

Public pages, including artist pages and the homepage, can also load content hosted by third parties. A YouTube preview image is requested from Google, and an Instagram spotlight loads Instagram’s own embed script from Meta, without you clicking anything; the YouTube video player is not loaded until you choose to play or load the video, and a TikTok embed is not requested until you choose to load it. Requests like these tell the third party your IP address, your browser information, and which page you were on, and their embeds may set their own cookies. Google, Meta and TikTok are not acting as our service providers when this happens — they handle that information under their own privacy policies. We also use Vercel Speed Insights, our hosting provider’s performance measurement tool, across the Service, including on signed-in pages; it measures page performance and does not record sessions.

6a. Analytics and session replay

We use Microsoft Clarity, a product of Microsoft Corporation, on a limited subset of public pages to understand how visitors interact with the Service so we can improve usability. Microsoft acts as our service provider (sub-processor) for this purpose.

Clarity captures aggregated and pseudonymous interaction signals such as clicks, scrolls, mouse movements, page navigation, viewport size, browser type, and approximate geolocation derived from a masked IP address. Clarity also produces session replays — reconstructions of public-page interactions — for the purpose of usability analysis.

Clarity does not run on authentication pages, account or onboarding pages, the moderation or admin surfaces, claim pages, or the legal acceptance flow. If you open one of those pages directly, Clarity is never loaded. If you reach one of them from a page where Clarity is already running, recording is stopped when you arrive; it may resume the next time you load a public page. On public pages where Clarity is running, sensitive form fields (such as email addresses, phone numbers, names, venue contact details, and booking message bodies) are masked so the actual values are not transmitted to Microsoft. We do not pass account identifiers, authenticated email addresses, or other directly identifying information into Clarity.

Clarity sets cookies (currently named _clck and _clsk) to maintain session continuity for analysis. You can clear or block these cookies via your browser, and ad-blocking software typically blocks Clarity. To request that we exclude your activity from analytics review entirely, contact us at yusufwanders@wanderverse.studio.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to operate the Service, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, investigate abuse, satisfy legal obligations, and preserve backups. Retention periods may vary by data type and role.

Content or a profile removed from public view is hidden rather than erased. The underlying records, and any audio, artwork, or photos you uploaded, are kept in our live systems as well as in backups and logs, and we do not run an automatic process that deletes them after a set period. Deleting an artist profile hides that profile and its tracks, but we keep the profile record — including the artist name, biography, location, linked handles, and booking contact address — along with the track records, the links recorded against the profile, and the files you uploaded. Closing your account removes your account, application, and ownership records and revokes your sign-in, but does not by itself erase an artist profile you deleted earlier.

Some records are kept regardless of deletion: messages in a collaboration thread, and any files attached to a collaboration invitation or thread, cannot be edited or deleted once sent, and if you revise a collaboration invitation before it is answered we keep the earlier version. Booking inquiry records are retained as described in the Booking Terms. Removing content or a profile is not the same as erasing it. If you want personal information erased rather than hidden, make a request under “Your choices and rights” below — we handle those requests as that section describes and as applicable law requires.

8. Your choices and rights

You may access, update, or delete certain account information through your account settings if available. You may also contact us at yusufwanders@wanderverse.studio to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions and identity verification. If applicable law provides additional rights, including rights relating to categories of information, portability, or opt-out choices, we will honor qualifying requests as required.

9. California and other state rights

If U.S. state privacy laws apply to our processing, including California law, users may have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for collection, the categories of recipients to whom information is disclosed, and to request deletion or correction subject to legal exceptions. We may require identity verification before acting on requests.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we process. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. International use

The Service is intended for a U.S.-focused early launch. If you later actively target other countries or regions, additional privacy and marketing rules may apply and this Policy may need to be expanded.

13. Contact and changes

Contact us at yusufwanders@wanderverse.studio with questions or requests. We may update this Policy from time to time by posting an updated version and changing the effective date.

Cookie and Tracking Notice

1. What this Notice covers

This Notice explains how Wanderverse may use cookies and similar technologies in connection with the Service.

2. Types of technologies we may use

We may use cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, SDKs, and similar technologies for essential site operations, account authentication, security, preferences, analytics, and performance measurement. Specifically, on a limited set of public pages we use Microsoft Clarity for usability analytics and session replay (cookies named _clck and _clsk). Clarity does not run on authentication, account, onboarding, claim, legal acceptance, or admin pages: it is never loaded if you open one of those directly, and if you arrive from a page where it is already running, recording stops on arrival and may resume the next time you load a public page. Sensitive form values are masked before transmission.

Clarity is not the only third party involved. Public pages, including artist pages and the homepage, can load a YouTube preview image from Google, and an Instagram spotlight loads Instagram’s embed script from Meta, without any click; the YouTube video player is not loaded until you choose to play or load the video, and a TikTok embed is not requested until you choose to load it. Those embeds can set their own cookies and storage, which we do not control. We also use Vercel Speed Insights across the Service, including signed-in pages, to measure page performance; it does not record sessions.

3. Choices

Depending on your browser, device, and the technologies in use, you may be able to control certain cookies or clear local storage through browser or device settings. If we later use non-essential tracking or targeted advertising technologies in ways that require additional consent or opt-out tools, we may present an updated banner, preferences center, or notice.

4. Relationship to Privacy Policy

For more information about how personal information is processed in connection with these technologies, see the Privacy Policy above.
